An encounter somewhat similar to Biblical Moses experiencing God and the burning bush…including a small tornado that was possibly symbolically similar to the Biblical whirlwinds:

The following is an excerpt from the book Eminent Discovery Volume 2, Chapter 9. It is one of the earlier episodes of the all-night encounter at the Sheridan Creek Fire Guard Cabin in Wyoming, in June of 1957.

As you read, keep in mind that I don’t consider my friend and I on the same level of importance as I do Moses, etc.

This type of spiritual encounter, that was somewhat similar to what is written in The Bible, occurred several to many times during my at least 46 years of UFO experience. The friend who was with me (Don, a pseudo name) was present during most of the complex Wyoming encounters during the summers of 1956 and 1957.

When I talked with him after my 1986/1987 “flood of recollections,” he said he didn’t recall hardly anything that occurred during those two summers. And he stated that he didn’t recall anything about UFOs. Yet, I know for certain he was present and alert during many encounters. Some of those encounters were very complex and included at least one lengthy time travel and a few to several time travel episodes. The lengthy time travels and shorter time travel episodes are explained and narrated in some detail in my books.

When I tried to talk with him at that time in the early 1990s, Don made it clear to me that he wasn’t even willing to talk about it. Being a Fundamental Christian, he thought UFO encounters were evil. He said he was a part of a radio broadcast that discussed the evil UFOs and aliens. If you read my books, you will find he also had this belief and attitude during the encounters when he was present. Keep in mind, some normal people thought Christ and the related spiritual happenings of their time were evil.

Also keep in mind that most if not all encounters consumed time and three dimensional space. The Sheridan Creek Cabin encounter was probably the most lengthy. It lasted from shortly after supper (well before sunset) until about 9 AM the next morning, when the sun was shinning brightly. I possibly will be able to analyze, at sometime in the near future, the encounters being a mysterious overlapping of our normal time/space three dimensions with the other dimension from which the craft, objects, men, beings, and “the voice” manifested.

My analogy here of course is comparing the spinning twisting cloud on our bush to the burning bush that Moses encountered. The spinning fog or cloud on the bush could be described similar to smoke, but we saw no brilliant light like fire. The spinning cloud of course was analogous to the whirlwinds mentioned in the Bible and other religious documents. In my past, when hearing sermons in church about the burning bush of Moses, they sometimes mentioned a spinning whirlwind.

An important point to consider in this story and in all of my encounters is the men and beings being analogous to Biblical angels.

Don and I once again crept back to the clearing. But, it still seemed so strange, we decided to separate. We figured only one of us might be captured this way, if that was what they, whoever they were, had in mind.

Crouching behind brush, just yards away from Don, I suddenly got startled by roaring sounds and music that came from behind me. When I turned around, I got shocked. A medium-built, middle-aged man came walking out of the trees, in a faint colored volume of luminous air.

The distortion of the air immediately dissipated, so I really didn’t understand what it was at the time. The man didn’t even greet me, but instantly began talking about history and how some craft, now flying above us, were connected to history, as well as us (or me). I looked up and saw large dark rectangular forms flying in formation, in colored luminous streaks of what seemed to be electric corona. The corners of the craft weren’t squared, but rounded. As they passed overhead, the man continued to talk about history without hardly taking a breath. He then told me to tell Don he should come out from behind the brush and join us, because he knew where he was.

I got completely confused, but the casual manner in which the man spoke convinced me that he was friendly. He also spoke with authority, so I turned and explained to Don a little about what was happening. After some coaxing Don joined us.

The man then told us something about the nature of life. He made a few comments about what was happening, while at the same time, he mentioned facts about history. He spoke so continuously, we didn’t have a chance to ask him questions. He stood and walked not more than a two and three feet away from us.

Leading us further away, several yards from the cabin, he explained that we were to be educated about something neither one of us could understand. Then, without warning, a small dark spinning cloud came swooping in over the trees, from our left. It landed in and over a large bush not too far in front of us. It looked like a miniature tornado.

As it swirled into a larger mass of fog, the man told us “they” were preparing a place were we could learn, or would be taught. Because he seemed somewhat kind, we settled down a little and felt more emotionally close to him. We asked a few questions about what would happen, but he told us to just watch the fog and prepare ourselves to be educated by some mysterious someone who was somehow connected to the whirling mass of fog.

When the spinning began to slow down and the fog began to dissipate, we saw a large windowed object begin to emerge. It was extremely strange because we could only see a part of it, which occupied the same space as the bush, and judging the diameter of the object suggested it was much larger than the bush and spinning fog. The man said this object would be the place were they would teach us. We got so shocked and frightened by the sight of it, we ran away as fast as we could.

Hiding behind some tall sage brush, we frantically discussed what it all might mean and whether or not we should escape to the cabin. Since we had previously encountered the lizard being in the cabin, we eventually decided an escape to any other location probably would be fruitless.

Poking our heads up from time to time, we saw another object develop off to our right. It appeared to be a domed elliptical- shaped windowed object with a rectangular door on the end nearest us and a small roof over the door. We again couldn’t quite understand because it had developed from a large mass of what seemed to be fog, and it seemed to be illuminated by some invisible source above it.

While it all seemed so peculiar, most of the individual elements of the experience seemed natural: The fog looked like fog and the atmosphere at times was somewhat distorted, like it is when heat rises from hot asphalt highways. Sometimes, the distorted atmosphere was not involved. During all of the peculiar episodes that occurred this particular night, the distortion most often faded and eventually everything seemed as natural as my friend and I and the landscape around us.

Even though the middle-aged man had been kind, he seemed to be set on what seemed to be a pre-conceived plan for our education. But I didn’t recall that he tried to call us back. We wondered from whence he’d come, how we had gotten away so easily, who else might be involved, and especially what they had in mind for us. The man had seemed as real as Don. He was wearing a plaid shirt, leather belt, jeans or brown pants and heavy boots – the same kind of clothes we were wearing. He was also partially bald on his upper forehead and he had a small roll of fat around his belly.

About this time, we noticed two other men standing out from and beside the door of the domed elliptical-shaped object. They began to wave at us. They said they knew where we were hiding and we had nothing to fear. Still leery and frightened, we flipped a coin to see who would go over and see what it was all about. Don lost this time and cautiously walked over. I watched all of them talking and moving their arms as they expressed themselves. I couldn’t see the middle-aged man or object at the bush. Then Don turned and yelled for me to come join them.

More notes concerning the burning bush episode at Sheridan Creek Fire Guard Cabin above:

First, I believe it’s important to note that my detailed memories of that episode and the entire sequence of events during that entire night still seem very clear. However, I’m sure I don’t recall all of the intricate details…and I might have a few memories that are not quite exactly the way it happened. Yet, I believe I can state confidently that my memories are basically true and accurate nearly second by second. I normally don’t recall the exact words spoken, but I do recall what happened in some detail. I believe the clarity of my memory is important to note because I am 85 years old and I, like many other old people, do have some trouble at times remembering some common words.

One error in the text of the book, I believe, is my memory of the object in the whirlwind (or spinning tornado). This is when it began to slow down and expose the windowed craft inside. I believe now it was not “the windowed saucer,” but just a part of the side and windows of “the elliptical-shaped object.” And as you read above, we most probably saw what was the same elliptical-shaped object later when we arrived at the location where the two men were waving at us. This would not be unreasonable if you consider the mysterious UFO intelligences related to my encounters seemed to be able to manifest objects at will. It seemed as if they could manifest objects and craft of the same or different types at any time, in any location they wished. Keep in mind that this all happened in real time and space. I realize this of course is somewhat unbelievable to those people who haven’t experienced so-called UFO encounters or spiritual encounters.

It’s also interesting to note that the elliptical-shaped object we entered before we returned to the cabin appeared to be in the same location as the one we saw earlier when the whirlwind began to slow down and dissipate. This was the windowed object where we met “the orphans” as described in Chapter 9 of Eminent Discovery.

All of the strange manipulations and timing of the strange happenings that night are mind-boggling; they further support the similarities of some of my encounters to the happenings described in The Bible. It seems they also are somewhat similar to some of Homer’s Odyssey episodes.

If we study some of these correlations in detail, it should suggest that at least some UFO and modern-day spiritual encounters are very similar to and have extended meanings of the historical religious events, including those recorded in The Bible. The similarities should also validate the reality of both the historical and Biblical renditions, and visa versa.
